Vanguard Won't have WHAT?

Call of Duty: Vanguard is coming out next week, but sadly one important part will be missing from the game: ranked play. But worry not – there is hope!

In just a week’s time Call of Duty: Vanguard is going to be released via PC, Xbox and PlayStation. You’ll get to shoot off those epic guns and try out some cool new skins, but there is something that you won’t get to do. What is it though?

Well, apparently you won’t be able to play ranked. Yes, you read that right. No ranked play will be coming to Call of Duty: Vanguard. There had been rumors that the game would launch without an official ranked mode, but a tweet by the official Call of Duty Twitter seems to just confirm those rumors.

The official tweet from Call of Duty states that Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch are looking forward to bringing a new level of Ranked Play support to Vanguard in 2022 in collaboration with the Call of Duty League.

When in 2022 this new revolutionary ranked system will launch is not yet known, but the tweet also states that there is going to be more information soon regarding ranked play – so all hope is not yet lost! If you enjoy elo hell, then you’ll have to be a bit more patient.

Some fans also speculate whether this means that Warzone will also be getting a ranked mode in 2022. The popular battle royale has been lacking ranked since its inception and fans have been waiting to finally have a ranked ladder to measure their skills on.

Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for too long to know more about the ranked system coming to Vanguard – and hopefully Warzone. Until then we’ll just have to practice in regular play. What do you guys think of Vanguard, not including a ranked mode upon release? Let us know on Discord!

When is Call of Duty: Vanguard Getting Released?

You’ve been patient and it’s finally coming home! Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released on November 5, 2021. So once you get off work, school, uni on Friday, you log on, and play some Call of Duty with your pals. Or… you skip Friday all together for some gaming fun!
