The FAMAS is back in Warzone! MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 5 introduces the new FR Avancer assault rifle. Here is the best FR Avancer build, as well a guide on how to unlock the weapon.
Warzone & MWII Season 5 is here, and the game is finally in a better state. The devs admitted they were wrong with their initial design of Warzone 2, and now the movement and TTK have improved massively. Hopefully, we get even more improvements before Modern Warfare 3's release.
But new seasons are about more than just balance changes. We also get new content each season, and that includes new weapons. In Season 5 we get a total of five new guns, including a new sniper called the Carrack .300 and a new AR called FR Avancer.
The FR Avancer is basically the FAMAS, but instead of being a burst-fire gun like in MW 2019, it is now full-auto. With an extremely high rate of fire and great mobility, this could very well be the new AR-meta for short to medium range.
How To Unlock The FR Avancer In Warzone
To unlock the FR Avancer in Warzone & MW2 you need to progress the Battle Pass until you've completed sector E8. And as this is a free reward you don't even need to pay for the premium Battle Pass, just level it up and you will unlock the FAMAS.
If you buy the BlackCell version of the Battle Pass then you start with 20 levels of the Battle Pass already unlocked (for PlayStation users it's 25 levels), and so you can unlock the FR Avancer immediately if you go with this method. If you want to save your money and level up the free Battle Pass organically, we suggest DMZ as the fastest XP-grind.

Our main focus here is to gain recoil control (specifically Vertical recoil control), while sacrificing as little mobility and handling as possible. Luckily the rear grip and stock are very efficient, in that they give us extra recoil control but only come at the cost of aiming stability (which we don't need).
For a min-max loadout you should exchange the optic for another attachment but we hate the iron sights so much on this thing.
Should you bother with the FR Avancer? Yes, definitely! Newly introduced ARs always do very well in Warzone, at least until they get nerfed. With the high rate of fire and the good mobility, we think it will be a great sniper support that could rival the Chimera.
