Cloud9 have finalized their Valorant team by signing Daniel “vice” Kim. With vice, the squad is finally complete and ready to challenge the status quo in NA.
The North American esports organization Cloud9 is one of the most famous ones worldwide. It came as no surprise when the team started building their Valorant roster back in April by signing Tyson "TenZ" Ngo as the first player.
Over the course of the last few months, the Valorant squad of Cloud9 added multiple other players, all of them with a CS:GO background and plenty of experience. The last and final piece of the puzzle proved to be Daniel “vice” Kim.

I’m super excited to join C9 Valorant. I competed in CS:GO professionally for about four years. I was on team Rogue, I was on C9’s CS:GO very briefly. I’m switching to Valorant mainly because after four years of competing in professional CS:GO I grew a little stale of it and I wanted to start a new chapter and I thought that Valorant was the best opportunity for that.
Vice has played for numerous CS:GO teams and most recently for C9 where he was on trial in 2019. Now he’ll fill the ranks of the organization’s Valorant roster. Reportedly, he’ll be playing more of a supportive role with his main Cypher. The full roster of C9 is as follows:
- Tyson “TenZ” Ngo
- Skyler “Relyks” Weaver
- Mitch “mitch” Semago
- Josh “shinobi” Abastado
- Daniel “vice” Kim
Cloud9 haven’t had quite a lot of success in Riot’s new tactical shooter but that might soon change. So far the team is always around the top placements and most recently finished third in the Pittsburg Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series. They had an excellent start in the event as their run in the group stage was perfect, but things fell apart in the playoffs where they lost to TSM.
