FIFA 21 Pre-Season
The weird way in which the season unraveled has made the transition from FIFA 20 to FIFA 21 just as weird. EA Sports have seemingly found a neat solution though - FIFA 21 Pre-Season. You can keep playing FUT 20 but get rewards translatable to the next version. That's admittedly a good way to keep the community engaged.

During the first two and a half weeks of Pre-Season you will get rewards to help you get FUT 21 off to a good start. For completing certain tasks and Squad Building Challenges the following rewards are waiting for you:
- x2 coin boosts (5 games x 500 coins)
- FUT 20 Icon Home Kit
- FUT 20 Future Stars Kit
- Anchor Chemistry Style
- Engine Chemistry Style
Further FUT 21 rewards are to be unveiled shortly. They will be unlocked in FIFA 21 on October 16 and have to be redeemed by logging into FUT 21 until November 23.
Team of the Year Cards Are Back
For the first time, the much sought-after Team of the Year cards in FUT 20 are once again available in packs. But not only that: some of the best TOTSSF and FUT Birthday cards are also available again for a brief time.

A total of 51 cards will return for a limited time as part of a Best Of pack. Two of those - Kevin De Bruyne and Trent Alexander-Arnold, were already released as part of the final Team of the Week squad of the 2019/20 season.
Champions League & Europa League Cards
The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League will soon return and of course, both tournaments will be represented in FIFA 20.
To celebrate this, all Road to the Final cards of teams still in the tournament will get a +3 rating boost. Further upgrades are possible when the respective team moves on to the next round and /or reaches the final.
In addition, there will soon be unique Champions League showdowns in FUT 20, which will work similar to the Summer Heat showdowns. A player will be picked from each team part of a CL duel. The winner will receive a rating boost of +3 on his SBC card.
Halftime SBCs, Top Transfers & Weekend League Rewards
For those who are particularly fast, there will also be special half-time SBCs during the 15-minute break between Champions League and Europa League matches. The top transfers of the summer can also look forward to brand new special cards in FUT 20.
EA Sports are also working on the Weekend League rewards for the last time before the release of FIFA 21 and now there are Team of the Season So Far cards for the best players. Those who reach the top 100 can look forward to a TOTSSF 11 player pack containing eleven TOTSSF players from the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
Elite 3 to Elite 1 still get three TOTSSF players, there's one player for Gold 2+ and even Silver 3s get a TOTSSF card, only limited to an 88 OVR.
