Marvel Studios is swapping some release dates for the upcoming MCU movies Captain Marvel and Ant-Man
I don't know about you, but Ant-Man 2 and Captain Marvel... two of the worst MCU movies. Right up there with the first Captain America, the second Thor, and... actually, that's it. That's all the bad apples.
The Marvels & Ant-Man 3 Release Dates
Now, two of these bad apples are getting sequels, and these sequels are not going to be released as planned - though they are still coming in 2023. Captain Marvel 2 - well, it's actually called The Marvels - and Ant-Man 3, are going to trade places: The Marvels will now release on July 28, 2023, and Ant-Man 3 will release on February 17, 2023.
The reason for the change is simple: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania simply wrapped shooting earlier, and has already moved on to principal photography. The Marvels, meanwhile, is still in the middle of shooting, and it'll be interesting if it will be further delayed due to Brie Larson also starring in Fast X.
As long as the Thor movies, Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther and the next Captain America are released on time, I'm good. I don't expect much from the Marvels, and even less from Ant-Man, but hey... they might surprise us. After all, Ant-Man is the sexiest man alive now.
