The upcoming Dune prequel series 'Dune: The Sisterhood' revealed its Harkonnen leads - and they're good ones.
Folks, I absolutely loved Dune. I forgot if it was released this year or last year, but whatever year it was... movie of the year. So good, in fact, I went to the movies twice for it, and I honestly can't remember the last time I did that. Dune was a whole experience, and is by far my most anticipated movie sequel, so to now get news on the prequel... well, I'm gosh-golly-goddamn-giddy.
Dune The Sisterhood Cast It's Harkonnen
You can thank Variety for this one, because they're the ones who first broke the news: Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson were cast as the lead Harkonnens for Dune: The Sisterhood. Specifically, they are going to play two Harkonnen sisters that are fighting for humankind. As you can guess by that last sentence, this prequel is set far in the past - 10,000 years before Dune: Part One, to be exact.
Dune: The Sisterhood follows the Harkonnen Sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect known as the Bene Gesserit.
The series is of course based on the novel 'Sisterhood of Dune', and as such we already know the exact way it's gonna pan out, but I'm not going to spoil that for you here. The only thing you need to know is that Emily Watson will play Vayla Harkonnen, while Shirley Henderson will play Tula Harkonnen.
