Indiana Jones 5 will see Harrison Ford return as the titular character.
Fans at the Star Wars Celebration expo in California were given a rather nice surprise, and it wasn't from a galaxy, far, far away with attendees given a first look at the brand new Indiana Jones 5 movie which sees Harrison Ford return once again to that other role that made him famous.
Harrison Ford was there himself, entering the stage to John Williams' iconic Indiana Jones theme. According to a report in IndieWire, fans and critics are already praising the film's "epic adventure" which will see Ford, lasso in hand, for one final run out for a character that he first played back in 1981.

The movie, which will be directed by The Wolverine and Logan director James Mangold, promises to capture the spirit of what made the Spielberg originals so great. Spielberg returns as executive producer, and if anyone is worried that it is not in the veteran director's hands, Ford's co-star, Mads Mikkelsen says we have nothing to worry about, claiming Mangold had made a movie that "felt like a Spielberg film."
The film is also set to star Fleabag creator and star, Phoebe Wall-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Toby Jones. Not returning is Shia LaBeouf, who played Indiana Jones's son in 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Speaking about the film at the Star Wars convention, Ford said the film was "almost complete."
Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 30, 2023.
