MrBeast's Squid Game record has been taken down by Will Smith's viral slap from The Oscars 2022.

After a tenuous six months at the top of the YouTube leaderboards, MrBeast's most-views in 24 hours record has been slapped right out of existence by none-other than Will Smith himself. Yes, that's right, Chris Rock wasn't the only one to be "impacted" by Will Smith's actions, and it's pretty darn funny.

If you've been living under a [Chris] rock then you wouldn't know that Will Smith slapped the living crap out of Chris Rock on Sunday night after the comedian made a joke about Smith's wife. It was broadcast on live television, during one of the world's most prestigious and widely-watched award ceremony, The Oscars. What was he thinking? Well, that's not the point of this article.

This was one wild slap, in fact, going instantly viral and causing The Guardian's YouTube clip of it to garner more than 70 million views in a little over one day. It was, honestly, nuts, and whoever clipped that bad-boy and plopped it up on the internet must be jumping for joy now. Why? Because that action slapped more than just Chris Rock in the face.

Here's that bad-boy we're talkin' about...

MrBeast's Record Slapped by Will Smith

MrBeast's Squid Game video set the record for receiving 42.6 million views in only 24 hours last year, but now Will Smith's slap has got over 48 million views in that same amount of time. This bloke must be feeling pretty salty after Will Smith stole his thunder. It truly is a shame, but it's also honestly not such a surprise.

After all, The Oscars is an incredibly prestigious event and seeing something like this in the middle of the award ceremony was something truly bizarre and unprecedented. Meanwhile, MrBeast is great, but it's kind of hard to compete with Will Smith slapping Chris Rock in the face. That's pretty ace content, even if extremely inappropriate and... well.. assault.

I just have to say, the internet really is a wonderful place. Even if MrBeast might be right about TikTok spying on him, he also wants to train Elon Musk into becoming an influencer, and to do a bunch more crazy stuff. Perhaps, seeing as he already knocked off Squid Game in his viral video, maybe a slap-a-thon could be the next viral video from MrBeast. You know, to take the spotlight again?

Oh, by the way, Mr Beast hasn't commented on all of this. I'm pretty sure that he will, though. Let's be real here!
