If you had your time over again, would you do it all the same? This is a question that Pokimane seemed keen to ask herself in a recent interview with Anthony Padilla. It's a complicated question, especially for someone like Pokimane who has seen incredible success, but at the expense of her privacy and personal identity.

Speaking about the difference between her "streamer identity" and "personal identity", Poki explained that she's in a good place now, but it took her a while to get there. Fame is a dangerous thing for many people, which can take a toll on people's mental health, especially because many online personalities experience a lot of hate.

This news comes at a time when Pokimane has been ruling the streamer-waves. A few weeks ago, Ludwig and Pokimane had a lot of Twitter beef to get out of their systems, and afterxQc stood Pokimane up for their first podcast, he then used the episode to reveal his gambling addiction. Bizarre, right?

So, Pokimane Wants To Be A VTuber?

In an interview with Anthony Padilla, Pokimane revealed that if she had her time over again, she would rather have become a VTuber. She explained that many faceless streamers were able to achieve incredible success without needing to expose their identity to the world. It's a pretty fair argument, isn't it?

These people don’t know your personally, so their comments, therefore, cannot be personal. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t consider what they say or take constructive criticism. But I at least compartmentalize it... if I could do it again, I would be faceless.

A lot of negativity would, admittedly, be taken out of the equation if Pokimane was a VTuber. There is a lot of sexism online, and many people who likely say pretty disgusting things about her in the comments. Of course, this would still likely happen from time to time, but seeing as she would also remove the prospect of people recognizing her in public, it would certainly make a big difference.

Sadly, it is completely impossible at this point for Pokimane to make a shift to VTubing. The only options she would possibly have is to retire from streaming and coming back as a VTuber under a different alias. That would be a very uncertain move to make, so we don't expect to see her making it any time soon.
