Pokimane Might Fire xQc After He Stood Her Up

xQc was supposed to feature as the first guest on Pokimane's new Podcast. He didn't turn up.

The timeline of this story is critical, so let's just get right into it: Felix "xQc" Lengyel and Imane "Pokimane" Anys announced only a few days ago that they will be doing a podcast together. Then, mere days after the announcement, silly ol' xQc forgot all about it and left Pokimane hanging on-stream, unsure of what was going on.

It was all pretty funny, but you did have to feel for Pokimane who, to her credit, remained entertaining and composed through the whole thing but (unsurprisingly) clearly confuzzled. Poor Pokimane got stood up by ol' xQc and it was kind of a d**k move... but hilarious.

Pokimane Might Fire xQc After Podcast No-Show

After xQc stood Pokimane up over the weekend, she has been lamenting the missed show and is considering alternative co-hosts. After explaining how she and xQc were planning on talking about the slap that shocked the planet, a subreddit called r/place and general Twitch news, she opened up about her thoughts on the matter.

"We were going to talk about the Will Smith Slap, we were going to talk about r/place and how that was, like, some of the best content that Twitch has ever seen... Well anyways, there are so many things to talk about, there are infinite things and now I am like 'Do I go back to Miz (Mizkif)? Do I wait for X (xQc) and try again maybe next week or the week after? Or do I say f**k it and I DM Forsen? Maybe it's time...

We don't have any details here for you, to be honest. There's a lot to digest, too, but we wouldn't blame Pokimane for abandoning xQc in favor of someone more reliable. After all, this was supposed to be the grand launch of Pokimane and xQc's new podcast and... he just plain forgot about it. Honestly, we'd be pretty pissed as well.

Both Pokimane and xQc have been in the headlines lately, enjoying a decent amount of notoriety. Pokimane was recently rumored to be Mexico's new President, and recently slammed Jason R and Ninja for actively avoiding women. Meanwhile, xQc said goodbye to GTA RP last week and managed to leak Overwatch 2... somehow. This latest little bit of drama is certainly not unexpected, by their standards.

The Awkward Moment When xQc Stood Up Pokimane

Sitting down for a good ol' Twitch stream, Pokimane was ripe and ready to record her first-ever Twitch Podcast with xQc. With Pokimane sitting there awkwardly waiting for him to show, it became increasingly clear that xQc was either standing her up on purpose or had forgotten. Considering that xQc and Pokimane are friends, the latter was the more likely option, as Pokimane explained...

I think he forgot that today was Saturday. Maybe he thought that I meant next Saturday? I don’t know... I really think he just lost track of the days, which happens. It’s happened to me.

Yeah, that's probably what happened. It's still pretty funny, though, seeing Pokimane sitting there as it became increasingly clear that he was not going to be showing up. It wasn't the best start to their podcast, that's for sure, but we're sure that it won't dissuade them from podcasting together. Assuming that xQc remembers to actually show up, that is.

We do understand the pressures that come with podcasting each and every week. The EarlyGame Podcast has recently released its 32nd Episode, and as fun as it is, it can be difficult to make sure that at least two people show up for it each and every week, and that its schedule is adhered to.

With xQc streaming over 3500 hours in the last year, you can understand that he loses track of time sometimes. After all, the dude doesn't even abide by a schedule so it can be hard to know what day of the week it is. That being said, though, it wasn't cool to stand Pokimane up like that! Come on bro, keep a calendar, it ain't hard...
