Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been one of FromSoftware's wildest experiments, diverging from the typical Dark Souls formula. To great success, that is. Now, a reputable leaker made claims, that there is an anime adaptation planned for the beloved game.

Sekiro is an intense game where players play a shinobi warrior seeking revenge in a feudal Japan-inspired world, unraveling a twisted tale of honor, loyalty, and supernatural conflicts. By far the best thing about the game is the precise swordplay that leads to intense timing based battles against a huge variety of worthy opponents.

Leaker Teases Anime Adaptation For Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice & Ghost of Tsushima

The leaker in question is well known in the anime community and had a nice 2 for 1 offer in store for us.

On May 18, the leaker posted the first bit of information on Twitter, only providing fans with a short GIF, not really providing any clear details. They then went into a little more detail, teasing their followers a little more by stating that this was about "two samurai games”, before finally providing us with the name of one of the games in question.

In a third tweet, the leaker named oecuf0 ultimately confirmed that at least one of the games getting an anime was in fact Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

“VIDEO GAME ‘Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’ Anime Announcement Soon! It’s produced by a Japanese studio of course.”

The other game oecuf0 mentioned is still not quite clear, but people are arguing that most likely is going to be Ghost of Tsushima. This is because oecuf0 stated in their second tweet, how one of the two samurai games was a PlayStation exclusive and Ghost of Tsushima would fit that bill perfectly.

In the end, we'll have to wait until we get an official announcement, but the news of a potential Sekiro anime is already getting fans excited!

If you haven't been able to enjoy Ghost of Tsushima, because you only have a nice juicy gaming PC (poor you) there is a PC version coming :
