Watching the fans fight for the show Warrior Nun has been nearly as thrilling as the show itself. It seemed like an uphill battle, but the devotion paid off and Warrior Nun will continue – just a little bit different than expected.
The Netflix show Warrior Nun follows the story of Ava Silva, who died a quadriplegic orphan and was accidentally resurrected, waking up being able to walk again. She finds herself in an order of nuns who occupy themselves by hunting demons. And that's just the short version.
Warrior Nun gained a huge fanbase when season 2 was released in November 2022 along with amazingly good reviews online. That's why it came as a huge surprise when Netflix announced the cancellation of the show a few weeks after its second season release. The fans wouldn't take it, though.

After that, the website www.warriornunsaved.com went online with an ominous countdown that was set to end on August 15, 2023. And here we go: Dean English, the executive producer of Warrior Nun, uploaded a video explaining the further plans for Warrior Nun.
In the video, English announced the revival of Warrior Nun not as a series, but as a movie trilogy in the Warrior Nun universe.
Does this perhaps infer that there's going to be a universe being launched of Warrior Nun, which could expand into films and TV series following characters that we already know?" The answer to that question is yes.
Hold up a minute – that's suspiciously vague, isn't it? No mention of the characters we actually know and care about, no confirmation the movies are going to be about Ava?
Also, no mention of Netflix, which may actually be a good thing considering its history with Warrior Nun, but the info we got is pretty sparse.
Could be because of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, though, which English has also cited as a reason for not being able to make more announcements for the time being.
