FaZe Clan made some changes to their Valorant roster lately. Just the other day their captain left and now they’ve signed Andrej “babybay” Francisty as their fourth.
Valorant has been officially out for over two months now. A lot of the big esports organizations decided to make a team for Riot’s title back when it was in a state of closed beta. Now that, the game is finally out, teams are literally racing to complete their rosters with the best players. FaZe Clan started by hiring some experienced players with Jason “jasonR” Ruchelski, but he left the squad a few days back without having played a single game. Thus, FaZe were left with only three members. That is until today when the clan signed a new talent - Andrej “babybay” Francisty.

Francisty is an ex Overwatch pro player and he has plenty of experience in Blizzard’s title, but will that be enough in Valorant? It’s no secret that the most successful teams in Riot’s tactical shooter are often composed of CS:GO veterans. FaZe Clan seems to be betting on Overwatch, judging by their choice of players as both Corey “Corey” Nigra and Zachary “zachaREEE” Lombardo are players coming from Blizzard’s title. The sole exception with a CS:GO background is Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen.
When jasonR left the roster he didn’t reveal an official reason, but we can only guess that the team was getting too much Overwatch and not enough CS:Go for his tastes. Either that or they never found the synergy. In any case, babybay is the fourth player joining FaZe Clan and we wish them the best of luck. After all there’s the FaZe Clan Invitational coming tomorrow, August 6, so they’ll have to defend their honor.
There are already rumors that the fifth and final player for FaZe will also come from Overwatch. That’d be namely Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty. Whether that’ll turn out to be true remains to be seen, but there’s a high chance we’ll get the reveal during the upcoming Valorant Invitational.
