For far too long EA Sports has not (sufficiently) represented women's football in their FIFA games. With FIFA 23 we got women's clubs for the first time – and Sam Kerr was chosen as female cover star – a premiere for the flagship of the game.

It's time for us to get more content on that front. We miss women in Ultimate Team, as well as a decent Career Mode Femini. After all, the UEFA Women's Champions League will be part of the line-up in the future. And there is also news from Spain.

La Liga F Included In Next FIFA: EA Sports FC With More Licenses

Firstly, the Spanish Primera Division (for manly men) will be declared as La Liga EA Sports FC from the 2023/24 season after the publisher has secured the naming rights for the top division.

On the other hand, it has been clear for some time that the game will also feature the elite league of women in Spain. So far we could play with a few stars from Spain in their respective national teams, but the opportunity to play the women's Clásico, which is bursting with quality, is very nice.

Oh, and there will be a major update for the countries in FIFA 23. The World Cup in New Zealand and Australia will be added as DLC in summer.

We're looking forward to Alexia Putellas and Co. With the hype about women's football and the upcoming competition from the world football association FIFA, EA is preparing for the future.
