FIFA 23: EA Releases New Champions League

EA Sports included women's clubs in their FIFA 23 for the first time. Now, they add more teams – in addition to the Women's Champions League. The free add-on is live now. We'll tell you how to get it.

After EA Sports already introduced women's football back in FIFA 16 – and never thought about domestic leagues – FIFA 23 was the first project of EA to bring virtual women's football closer to fans.

For years FIFA only featured women's national teams, but this season club football was added for the first time. The English Barclays Women's Super League and the French Division 1 Arkema are fully licensed in FIFA 23. In addition to Sam Kerr on the cover, those were important (and overdue) actions. Now, we can play clubs from another league – and the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Speaking of Champions League in FIFA 23:

NWSL & UWCL Release: New Champions League In FIFA 23

With Title Update #9, EA has added the UEFA Women's Champions League (UWCL) and the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) from the United States. And we also see four new clubs with Real Madrid, VfL Wolfsburg, Juventus, and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The new tournaments and clubs can then be found in the kick-off and tournament modes. The NWSL can also be chosen in online games – but we won't see them in FUT. The World Cup in Australia and New Zealand is also scheduled for the summer and will be added in FIFA 23 without additional costs as well.

The release was originally planned for March 15, but got delayed to March 22. The update is free and everyone will receive it automatically with the new title update.

More Women's Football In The Upcoming EAFC

Thanks to this add-on, we can also say something about EA's next football game. The UEFA Women's Champions League partnership is exclusive between UEFA and EA Sports. This means we will also see the UWCL in FIFA's successor, EA Sports FC.

As competition to look for, we will get the La Liga F from Spain. If you want to know everything about the next FIFA, we got you:
