The well-known bounty boards have been around since Fortnite Chapter 2. In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, however, you'll find the missions at the new Agent Cases, which give us some Chapter 2 Flashbacks. There are some different missions coming to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 as well, but for this article we stick with the bounty missions.

If you accept a contract, you must eliminate a specific player within the given time. If you succeed, you'll get plenty of gold bars.

What Are Fortnite Bounty Missions?

Once you've found an Agent Case, you can take on a bounty-mission by paying a small amount of gold. It shows the location of a nearby player on the map whom you're supposed to eliminate. However, the position is shown within a very large circle, making it difficult to directly find the player.

But the longer your bounty target stays alive, the smaller the circle on the map becomes. That means that the location reveal becomes more and more accurate. As the hunted player, you'll also be notified when bounty hunters are getting closer to you. If you manage to eliminate your target within the given time, you'll receive a good amount of gold. If your target escapes, you'll end up empty-handed.

All Bounty Locations in Fortnite

In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, there are only 12 locations where you can take on a bounty mission. We'll show you where you can find them.

Tips For Fortnite Bounty Hunts

If you want to make the most out of the contracts in Fortnite, here are some tips you should consider:

  • Pay attention to the time limit. Each bounty only lasts a few minutes, so make sure to complete it before time runs out.
  • Be prepared for a fight. The player you're hunting knows they've been targeted. They will likely be extra vigilant.
  • Use the element of surprise. If you can catch your target off guard, you have a better chance of quickly eliminating them.

Bounty missions have always been a useful feature in Fortnite. Even if you don't complete your mission, you have information for a few minutes about where an opponent might be lurking. If you have some gold to spare, it's best to always accept the contracts; they might still prove useful!
