A new patch is coming to Fortnite. That naturally means the Fortnite servers are expected to be down for a short time. Here is everything you need to know about Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, which is coming in update v30.20.01.
Fortnite Patch v30.20.01: Downtime
Fortnite Update v30.20.01 starts at the same time as Fortnite's server downtime, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 4:00 am ET. The servers are typically offline for up to 2 hours and 30 minutes. After that, you can log into the game as usual.

Fortnite Patch v30.20.01: Patch Notes
With every patch, new things arrive on the Fortnite island, and this includes Fortnite Update v30.20.01. Although there are no official patch notes, leakers have, as always, found some things in the files that will change or be added to the game with the new update. Here we have an overview for you.
Summer Break & Event
The big summer break at Epic Games starts on July 1st and ends on July 12th. This also means that a summer event on the island is imminent, featuring summer challenges and cosmetics to unlock. Otherwise, don't expect too many new things in the game during this time, as Epic tends to take it easy on these days.
Pirates of the Caribbean Crossover
It's also possible that the first preparations for the big Pirates of the Caribbean crossover will be made. This will bring not only our favorite franchise characters as skins into the game, but also new items and a pirate-themed POI (Point of Interest). However, the collaboration itself is expected to appear in the game around July 19th.

Fortnite Reload Duos
The new Reload mode has captured the hearts of fans. Finally, we can dive back onto the island with the old weapons in a small Fortnite map featuring classic and nostalgic POIs. With this patch, the new mode will also receive a Duos mode alongside the Squad mode! Additionally, Epic has confirmed that they are working on a Trios mode for Fortnite Reload.
