The latest Fortnite update brought a new item, the Cloak Gauntlets, to the island. The item was already announced in the trailer for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, but it was not yet available in the game. Until now. We show you what these strange gloves can do and where you can find them.
How The Cloak Gauntlets Work In Fortnite
The Cloak Gauntlets make you - in short - invisible! You will be covered in kinetic ore for a short time before the ability of the cloaking gloves has to recharge again. However, as they have an unlimited number of charges, you can always turn invisible again after a short charge!

While you can't attack while cloaked with the cloaking gloves, you can end your cloak early by discarding them or switching to another item in your inventory to ambush your enemies.
All Locations Of The Cloak Gauntlets In Fortnite
The Cloak Gauntlets are part of the normal loot pool in Fortnite. That means you can find them in chests as well as on the ground. The best chances are probably in larger POIs like Mega City, Slappy Shores or Rumble Ruins. However, there is also a Mythic version of the gloves that you get from a new boss.
How To Get The Mythic Cloak Gauntlets In Fortnite
The new update also brought a new boss, Wildguard Relik, to the island. He is located at Rumble Ruins. When you defeat him, he drops the Mythic Cloak Gauntlets as well as a Mythic version of the MK-Alpha Assault Rifle.
However, like all bosses, he is not that easy to defeat. He has a lot of heal and also uses the cloaking gloves to make himself invisible. Make sure you equip yourself with good weapons and enough heal before the fight.
The Mythic variant of the Cloak Gauntlets covers you in reflective kinetic ore for longer and they have a shorter cooldown. So if you're a fan of the item, it's worth grabbing the Mythic version.
