It's been a while since the last DreamHack Fortnite event. But in Season 8 the popular tournament returns with a total prize pool of $200,000. Do you want to participate? Then here are the details!
Fortnite DreamHack Open
This time round, DreamHack will be played in a duo format. And with a prize pool of $200,000, we're going to see some of the best players from around the world.
The tournament will take place between October 7-10. The best 500 teams per preliminary round will advance to phase 2, the semi-finals. Then, the best 50 players in the semi-finals can qualify for phase 3, the Open Finals. DreamHack takes place on both the European and NA East servers. Here's the schedule:
Europe
- DreamHack Online Open Preliminary Round 1 - Thursday, October 7th, 5:00 PM CEST
- DreamHack Online Open Preliminary Round 2 - Thursday, October 7th, 9:00 pm CEST
- DreamHack Online Open Preliminary Round 3 - Friday, October 8th, 6:00 PM CEST
- DreamHack Online Open Semifinals - Saturday, October 9th, 7:00 pm CEST
- DreamHack Online Open Finals - Sunday, October 10th, 18:00 CEST
North America (East)
- DreamHack Online Open Preliminary Round 1 - Thursday, October 7th at 5:00 pm EST
- DreamHack Online Open Preliminary Round 2 - Thursday, October 7th at 9:00 pm EST
- DreamHack Online Open Semi-Finals - Saturday, October 8th at 7:00 pm EST
- DreamHack Online Open Finals - Sunday, October 9th at 4:00 pm EST

The DreamHack Open Point-System
In the preliminary rounds, each elimination counts as 3 points. In the semifinals, there are 4 points for each elimination. And in the final, each player gets 6 points for a kill! The placement points are divided as follows:
- #1: 55 Points
- #2: 49 Points
- #3: 46 Points
- ...
- #25: 2 Points
