Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 is here! We put together the official trailer, map and battle pass skins for you and show how our game has changed in detail.
After a completely new chapter was released last season, now, three months later, Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 has been released. Once again there are many changes, and the game just feels different. So, what's to know about Resistance, the new season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 3?
Besides new skins, there are also awesome new gameplay features coming to our island! Let's goooooooooo!
Fortnite Chapter 3 Map
The map actually didn't change much in Season 2. Most important are probably the huge airships that are now hovering over the map. The Resistance and the IO are in a head-to-head race for the POIs on the island. A POI occupied by the IO is indicated by an IO airship flying over the island, titans, IO sentries and siege cannons, while a POI occupied by the resistance features an armored battle bus, sentry post and turrets.
The IO Airships are connected to the ground via ziplines, so hop onto an IO Airship and grab the loot!

Fortnite Chapter 3 - New Gameplay Features
It also looks like the core gameplay will be stirred up a bit. There are three new mechanics in Chapter 3:
Overshield
You can no longer build in Fortnite! To maintain cover, players can now have an Overshield, in addition to their health and shield. While dealing damage, the Overshield will deplete before players' shield and health.
Sprinting
The game now has a new sprint meter and a faster default movement that will help players get around in less time. While sprinting, players will also be able to bash them open with their shoulders.
Mantling
This feature has been available in several games that involve parkour as a way of moving around. In Fortnite, players will now be able to pull themselves up with the help of their hands, especially while jumping between distant buildings.
Otherwise, a few well-known weapons were brought back from the vault. But we don't want to reveal too much. Dive into the new season yourself! We're waiting for you on the Battle Bus!
