Fortnite's crossovers have been getting more and more impressive over the years, and The Last of Us might be one of their most ambitious ever. Here's what we know so far about the upcoming collab.
You know what it is guys: Fortnite are going to do yet another collab with a huge game. We’re getting to the point where it’s easier to list the big franchises that haven’t done a Fortnite crossover yet. But why fix what isn’t broken?
Sadly, even the most reliable leakers get fooled by false or somewhat circumstantial rumors of crossovers coming to Fortnite, like the one pointing at a potential Last of Us collaboration.
The Fortnite x The Last of Us Collab
As first shared by ShiinaBR, a Last of Us and Fortnite collaboration was set to be happening very soon. Now ShiinaBR is a trusted source in the world of Fortnite; they first gave us the news about Naruto, and even Spider-Man, so naturally, we assumed they were right.
FORTNITE X THE LAST OF USA The Last of Us collaboration will happen soon, according to @Shpeshal_Nick on the @xboxera podcast I have also heard about this collaboration independently of other people's information.(Thanks to @iFireMonkey for making me aware of the podcast) pic.twitter.com/AoJkuM32Cx

Hours later, Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog co-president, debunked the rumors of Joel and Ellie potentially making it to Fortnite by responding via social media.
Love me some Fortnite… but there are no plans for this. False rumor.
Given how collaborations work in Fortnite, the least fans could expect was a Joel and Ellie set of skins at the very least. Potential for even more is also quite limitless - what about a high-effort treatment that included a zombie hunting mode, or even a new POI on the map that references a location in the Last of Us. Sadly for The Last of Us fans seems like none of those things are bound to happen
