The wait for patch 22.10 will be particularly excruciating as it'll have one of the longest downtimes the game's seen for such a small update.
Fortnite downtime for patch 22.10 has pissed off some fans since Epic Games has brought the servers down 11 hours, an unprecedented amount of time for a relatively small update.
Usually, when a Fortnite update occurs, downtime starts late at night for North American time zones and in the early morning for European users, this time, however, the servers were completely shut down for the vast majority of October 3 and will continue off in the early hours of the next day.
Is Fortnite Down?
You might be wondering if there are any issues with the game itself. And the answer is kind of. It's not really a matter of someone messing with the servers, like a DDoS attack or something of the like, but Epic Games confirmed certain issues had forced them to take a longer time with the downtime.

So yeah, on the bright side, there's nothing wrong on your end if you were wondering - it's simply an unlucky situation, especially if you were excited to continue your Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass.
Hey, at least there'll be some interesting changes waiting for you on the other site of this long downtime! For starters, Rocket League items are coming to Fortnite Creative, including the iconic explosive car the soccer-racing game hybrid title is known for.
Furthermore, certain "broken" items will be removed from Battle Royale, including the controversial but incredibly fun to use Boogie Bombs, which will be vaulted once patch 22.10 arrives.
And that's it! We hope we managed to help with this mishap. All you have to do is wait patiently until the servers are back up once more.
