Tennis-legend Naomi Osaka will soon join the Fortnite Icon Series. The Japanese tennis player, activist, fashion designer and entrepreneur will soon be available in Fortnite with two outfits. Of course, her cosmetics also match her background as a tennis player. After basketball star LeBron, footballers Harry Kane and Marco Reus and musician J Balvin, the tennis ace will now also be immortalized in Epic Games' Battle Royale. But how do we actually get the fancy outfits, what cosmetics are available, and when does it all start?
Naomi Osaka Release Date
The new Naomi Osaka outfits and accessories will be available in Fortnite from March 4, 2022. However, for all impatient players, there is a possibility to unlock some items earlier. You can find out more about this below in the Naomi Osaka Cup details.
Naomi Osaka Outfits & Cosmetics
Naomi Osaka gets two outfits: "Naomi Osaka" and "Dark Priestess Naomi". The "Naomi Osaka" bundle comes with the pickaxe "Royale Racket", which can also be worn as a Back Bling, and the glider "Queen's Cloudcarriage". The Naomi Osaka Oufit also comes with the "Court Queen" style.
The "Dark Priestess Naomi" pack, on the other hand, comes with the "Portalforger Paddle" pickaxe, which can also be worn as a Back Bling, and the "Cursed Hazeboard" glider. There's also the "Neon Priestess" style to go with it. Both sets also include the "Severe Stance" emote.
Naomi Osaka Cup
The Naomi Osaka Cup is a solo tournament and will take place on March 2, 2022. Those who participate in the tournament will have a chance to unlock the "Naomi Osaka" and "Dark Priestess Naomi" outfits, as well as the "Royale Racket" and "Portalforger Paddler" pickaxe/Back Bling before March 4. Those who earn at least 8 points will also get the "Forbidden Ace" spray painting.
During the tournament, you have 3 hours to complete up to 10 matches. You can find the exact times for your respective region in the competition tab in Fortnite. Here you can see, how scoring will work in the tournament:
