Fortnite is one of the biggest games and definitely one of the most popular battle royale games in the world. However, the game is likely to become even more popular very soon, and it's not just due to the release of Creative 2.0. According to multiple rumours, Epic Games is working on an offline version of Fortnite Battle Royale!

Fortnite Offline Could Come Sooner Than Later

Epic Games has made Fortnite available in most countries around the world. Unfortunately, due to the lack of servers, some players are struggling with high ping and more.

No wonder. For example, many African players need to connect to European servers. And anyone who has played Fortnite before knows how important a lag-free game is.

An offline version of Fortnite Battle Royale would be perfect for players struggling with those, even if it meant you wouldn't be playing against actual players.

Leaks Show Project "FortniteEDP"

And now a few leakers out there have found out that Epic Games is developing something called "FortniteEDP". This version of the game only contains the no-build mode and currently it seems that it will only be developed for the Japanese market.

Leaker GMatrixGames believes it is an offline version of Fortnite Battle Royale. While Epic hasn't officially revealed anything about it yet, this is good news for all gamers struggling with connectivity issues.

Of course, it's debatable whether players would feel like just fighting bots in a Battle Royale game, but the mode would be a nice way to try out the game, at least for practice for new players or for the younger Fortnite fans.

But there is also the possibility that the offline version will have a local network.Whatever Epic is planning, it appears that the offline version is still in the early stages of development. As soon as we get new information about it, you will find it here.
