As every year, the official Star Wars Day is celebrated in Fortnite, and this time even with free Star Wars Twitch Drops! We'll show you step by step how to earn the Galaxies Collide Loading Screen & Growling Chewbacca Emoticon

How To Get The Free Star Wars Twitch Drops

Collecting the Twitch Drops this time is actually integrated into an interactive experience with your favorite Fortnite creators.

Unlike usual, simply watching the streamer play Fortnite won't cut it this time.

To earn the Twitch Drops, you must (if the creator has activated the extension), snatch appearing Fortnite items on the stream screen by clicking on them during the stream!

Note that the items available in the stream are purely visual and do not appear in your Fortnite locker.

The items themselves are only available for a limited time to click on in the stream image. If you're too slow, they disappear and only reappear after a while! You can view the list of all items you've caught in the Collection tab of the extension. Once you've completed your collection on Twitch, you'll receive the "Galaxy Collision" loading screen in Fortnite!

Of course, you need to be logged in with your Twitch profile and have your Epic account linked to receive the reward. Additionally, you'll already get the "Growling Chewbacca" emoticon by linking your Twitch and Epic accounts.

How To Link Your Twitch Account To Your Epic Games Account

To link your Twitch profile, go to the Connected Accounts page on your Epic Games account while logged in.

Then follow these steps:

  1. Click Connect under Twitch.
  2. Click CONNECT ACCOUNT afterwards.
  3. Log in with the credentials of your Twitch account. (If you're already logged in, this step is skipped.)
  4. Click Authorize (The linking process may take up to 60 minutes).

Fortnite "Choose Your Side": Leaderboard & Takeover

The Twitch extension also offers a Leaderboard tab. Here, the number of items you've collected is tracked. Participants with the most items will be listed at the top of the leaderboard. You can view your rank using the Channel Leaderboard and Global Leaderboard buttons.

In addition, a creator's community, if they've collected a certain number of Fortnite items, can choose another channel with the "Choose Your Side" extension enabled to initiate a takeover. Subsequently, heaps of Fortnite items will appear in the selected channel for the community to click on! The affected community can prematurely stop the takeover by spamming the Twitch emote :[ChewyYaY]: in the chat. Once enough :[ChewyYaY]: emotes have been activated, the takeover ends.

The Galaxy Collision loading screen and the Growling Chewbacca emoticon will be credited to your linked Epic account within 30 days.

You have until May 14, 2024, at 3 PM ET to snatch the "Choose Your Side" Fortnite items. So collect away!
