Fortnite has continuously added new content over many years, and this trend is obviously not ending. Apparently, vehicle modifications will be introduced in Fortnite Season 3, which could cause serious chaos.

Fortnite: OP Vehicle Modifications Could Appear In Chapter 5 Season 3

It was leaked a long time ago that Epic Games plans to introduce car modifications to the game. While weapon modifications were introduced at the start of Chapter 5, vehicles did not receive such special upgrades. But that is expected to change with Season 3.

Mark Rein, Vice President and co-founder of Epic Games, recently reposted a tweet on X with a smiley, where a user reacted to the new Fortnite trailer with the following words:

You and me both. I hope to see vehicles with weapon attachments.

If this hint isn't enough proof that we'll soon be able to modify our vehicles, then maybe the files leaked by well-known dataminer Hypex back in 2021 are. Even back then, he wrote:

Apparently, Epic is not only working on weapon mods/attachments but also car attachments, such as new tires that behave differently on dirt, grass, and road, and are hard to pop. Additionally, there are other car attachments like mounted guns.

There have already been tanks and battle buses with turrets in the game. However, these were a fixed part of the vehicles and not a vehicle modification.

We have already seen a range of other upgrades, including large tires for faster off-road driving, cow catchers to destroy everything in the way, and maybe soon turrets and more that you can strap to your car to shoot opponents.

However, it is important to note that these are just leaks. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but Mark Rein's repost and the collaboration with Monster Jam strongly suggest the introduction of vehicle modifications.
