Gamescom 2020 opens its doors today, but only virtually this year, and the first winners of the Gamescom's Awards have already been announced. We have all winners at a glance.
Yesterday evening, Gamescom 2020 started with the Live Opening Night broadcast, and the entire weekend will be dedicated to current and upcoming video game highlights. The event was hosted by Geoff Keighley and revealed the first seven winners of the coveted Gamescom 2020 Award.

Gamescom Awards 2020: All Winners at a Glance
In total, seven categories of the hottest games at Gamescom 2020 were honored, and eleven more Gamescom awards will be presented on August 30. In addition, there are eight Fan Awards. The following games have already won an award:
- Best Action-Adventure Game: Watch Dogs Legion by Ubisoft
- Best Action Game: Star Wars Squadrons by Electronic Arts
- Best Indie Game: Curious Expedition 2 by Maschinen-Mensch
- Best Multiplayer Game: Operation Tango by Clever Plays
- Best Sony PlayStation Game: Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt RED
- Best Microsoft Xbox Game: Tell Me Why by Microsoft
- Best Nintendo Switch Game: Little Nightmares 2 by Bandai Namco
All winning titles in the category group of genre and platform also have the chance to win the main prize "Best of Gamescom" by the judges of the Gamescom Awards. During the virtual trade fair, the judges will also decide on the following categories:

- Best Ongoing Game
- Best PC Game
- Best Racing Game
- Best Re-master
- Best Role-Playing Game
- Best Simulation
- Best Sports Game
- Best Strategy Game
- Most Original Game
- Most Wanted Hardware/Technology
All Gamescom Awards 2020, will be unveiled during the Gamescom: Best Of Show event, which will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2020, starting at 8:00 p.m. CET. The Fan Awards have the following categories:
