Earlier this week 50 Cent made a social post that heavily implied he was working on GTA 6. It turns out he's not, instead he's starring in a TV Show called Vice City, which has no affiliation with the GTA game.
Anyone lucky enough to have watched 50's biopic "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" will be well aware of just how good an actor 50 Cent is. We're being absolutely sincere here, 50 Cent has been a far better actor than most critics would ever be willing to admit. He's effortlessly believable as a gangster.
Which is why it's even more upsetting to hear that Rockstar seems to have failed to secure 50 Cent for GTA 6. We thought 50 Cent was in the game based on a cryptic social media post he recently made, but apparently he was trying to suggest something else with the post. Damn.
50 Cent Will Not Be In GTA 6
On the evening of March 1, 2023, 50 Cent posted an image of the GTA: Vice City logo to his various social media channels with the accompanying message: "I will Explain this later, GreenLightGang this shit bigger than POWER trust me". We obviously thought that meant he was working with Rockstar on GTA as a voice actor. But no, he's actually just going to star in a show coincidentally called Vice City.
- You can buy GTA 5 for next to nothing these days.
The show is not related to Rockstar or the GTA franchise in any way. But it is called Vice City, and it does take place in Miami.
What would you have liked to see 50 Cent as in GTA 6? Maybe even as the main playable character? Who knows, maybe in the future he could work with them on Red Dead Redemption 3 at least.
Here's everything else we know about GTA 6 so far...
