Among Us is turning three years old today and to celebrate the occasion the developers are expanding the lobby from 10 to 15 players!

Maybe you didn't realize it, but Among Us is an old game by today's standards. It was originally launched back on June 15, 2018 and the game didn't get much attention until the summer of 2020 when some popular Twitch streamers discovered its huge potential as a party game. Ever since then, Among Us has become a hit and InnerSloth (the studio behind it) have done their best to improve it.

Among Us Anniversary Updates

A three-year anniversary is certainly something to celebrate. Today, June 15, Among Us will receive an update that will add numerous new features:

  • New colors for crewmates
  • Support for mobile controllers
  • You'll be able to honk the horn on Airship

Last but certainly not least is the player lobby growing from 10 to 15 players. Usually, games were always made up of ten players. That'll no longer be the case. Are three impostors going to wreak total havoc in a 15-player lobby?

The update is coming to all platforms: PC, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. InnerSloth have already mentioned that Xbox and PlayStation versions are on the way and expected later this year. The devs also revealed that a new mode and plenty of new features will be coming in 2021.

An official stream is also expected later today where the developers will answer questions, play the game and introduce the new features before it all goes live.

When was the last time you played Among Us? Which platform do you prefer? Is a 15-player lobby too much? Tell us on Facebook or Twitter!
