Battlefield 6 is the hot item of the shooter world these days. Battlefield 6 news is hard to come by, but now we've got something that's beyond hot: The new Battlefield will supposedly be a day one Xbox Game Pass release.
First things first, allow us to do some public service – all our Battlefield 6 coverage:
- New Details on Battlefield 6 Multiplayer & Battle Royale
- Battlefield 6: Name, Setting & Campaign Details Leaked!
Battlefield 6 Will Be on Xbox Game pass for Launch Day
Granted, EA has not officially announced or confirmed this yet, but XboxEra co-founder Shpeshal Ed dropped this little tidbit during a podcast:
"There is a third party, Triple-A, first person shooter that is very highly likely to be launching in Game Pass this fall."
Could Battlefield 2021 could be a Game Pass Day 1 title? Here's what @Shpeshal_Ed from the XboxEra podcast had to say.https://t.co/l4RYoEmIOq #Battlefield #Xbox pic.twitter.com/EZxBRqHlDH

So obviously, the new Call of Duty – CoD Vanguard – is also dropping in Fall, but we're pretty certain he's referring to Battlefield 6. Why? Because Battlefield is developed by EA and EA has an established partnership with Microsoft already, with EA Play being at home on Xbox Game Pass.
When Will Battlefield 6 Be Released on Xbox Game Pass?
The most recent reports claim that Battlefiled 6 will be released in the Fall of 2021, which is when it will also become available on Xbox Game Pass. All of that will probably be confirmed soon – it is expected that Battlefield 6 will officially be revealed in May:
So we've only got about a month of waiting to do until we get some direct confirmation regarding the game. Arguably, at this point, Battlefield 6 is even more hotly anticipated than Call of Duty: Vanguard, so it'll be interesting to see just how big this reveal event ends up being.
Will Battlefield 6 Be a Launch Day Xbox Game Pass Exclusive?
It's very unlikely that Battlefield 6 will have any timed exclusivity for Xbox Game Pass. The game is expected to release on Xbox Game Pass along with coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Even without any exclusive access though, the fact that a Triple-A game as big as Battlefield 6 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day is huge! Seriously... Microsoft and their Game Pass is shaping up to be a serious, serious gaming service: They just got MLB The Show – a former PlayStation exclusive – they got all the Bethesda games, the former Nintendo exclusive Octopath Traveler, and are now adding Battlefield 6? This is big-time stuff!
