Counter-Strike 2 Is Real, And The Game Will Launch In Beta Soon

After more than a decade of CS:GO, we're finally hearing the first rumors about the next game in the Counter-Strike series. CS:GO 2 is apparently already quite far along in development, and will be launched in beta soon.

Counter-Strike is one of those games that will simply never die. It's too popular to fail. But that said, we have been playing CS:GO for over eleven years now, so we should always have expected a new title to come along eventually.

Say hello to CS:GO 2, a game that will no doubt dominate the next eleven years.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2 Will Launch In Beta Soon

This news comes from Richard Lewis, who is a veteran journalist and caster in the world of Counter-Strike, and can be trusted with almost 100% certainty on all things CS (he's the dude that broke the story about match-fixing in the North American league). According to Lewis' sources, Counter-Strike 2 is a real thing, and the beta could begin as early as this month.

Per Richard Lewis:

Speaking under the condition of anonymity sources with a knowledge of the game’s development told us that indeed there was a new version of Counter-Strike on its way and that had been worked on for some time. The new version is almost certainly set to be released under the working title Counter-Strike 2 and the tentative release date for the beta is in this month of March with April 1st at the outside.

There you have it, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2 is real and coming soon. It will almost certainly be a huge success, and we might even see it steal some of Valorant's playerbase.

What would you most like to see from a new Counter-Strike? Any major changes, or just QoL stuff?

In other news, you can buy a toaster from Xbox soon.

Will we ever see a version of Pro City in CS:GO 2?
