Cyberpunk 2077 was an absolute mess on release and ever since then, the devs have been working on patches to make it better. According to a recent post, CDPR's biggest disappointment will soon get its biggest update.
Cyberpunk 2077 had a rocky start in December 2020 and things didn't get much better over half a year later. The game received numerous patches that fixed hundreds of bugs and glitches, but there's still a lot of work to be done. This really shows how disastrous of a launch the game had. To be fair, most players can have a decent bug-free experience on PC. The same can't be said for consoles, and especially PlayStation 4. Before the game was officially released, CDPR claimed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable on the older generation of consoles. Boy, were they wrong. The situation was so bad that Cyberpunk 2077 was pulled out of the PlayStation Store.
Just recently, it returned, with CDPR claiming that the game is now in a "satisfactory state".
We have already achieved a satisfactory level in this regard [of stability]. We have also been working on the overall efficiency, which we are also quite happy about. Of course, we also removed bugs and glitches, and we will continue to do that. - Adam Kiciński for TVN24

Cyberpunk 2077 To Get Its Biggest Update Yet
There might be more good news at the end of the tunnel. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to get its biggest update yet, but will it be enough to make the game as good as people expected it to be back in December? Probably not. Anyway, here's the teaser trailer.
.The teaser ends with "and there's more to come!" which leaves us a bit too hopeful. Will CDPR's work ever be done?
What’ll Be in the Biggest Update?
That's the question of the day. According to an earlier roadmap, the free DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 was supposed to come out in June. As you know, that's not the case. Exactly a week ago, the roadmap got updated.
CDPR are planning to wrap things up in terms of quality by the end of 2021, but whether that'll be the case remains to be seen. According to rumors, the big update will add previously cut content from the game such as extra romance options, new characters, missions, and of course, bug fixes. If the DLC is also part of it, then this is definitely the big update to look forward to.
Cyberpunk 2077’s Biggest Update Release Date
There's no official confirmation on a release date from CDPR yet. If the roadmap above is any indication, we should expect the big update later this month or in August, but take that with a grain of salt.
