According to dataminers, a Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer is coming. Here is what they’ve found.
Listen, Cyberpunk 2077 might have been a flop, but CDPR is working hard to fix their mistakes… I think. They recently released patch 1.3, the biggest Cyberpunk 2077 patch to date that was supposed to bring back players by fixing the biggest issues and adding more content to the game. Whether that was enough to make players fall in love with Cyberpunk 2077 (again), doubtful, but at least they tried something.
- If you want to try a proper RPG, I suggest you check out Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.
However, fixing bugs and adding more content is not the only way they’re trying to restore faith in Cyberpunk 2077. Instead of focusing on the single-player lovers that they’ve lost (me), they will now cater towards the multiplayer stans that they haven’t screwed over yet (not me).
Will Cyberpunk 2077 Have Multiplayer?
Content Creator Tyler McVicker looked through the files of the latest patch notes and found multiple mentions of multiplayer, so the chances are very high that: yes, Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer in the future. This would also go hand in hand with a job listing posted by CDPR back in June, when they were looking for a gameplay designer with experience in “narrative, multiplayer and/or shooter”. Now, I don’t know about you, but to me, that sounds a lot like Cyberpunk.

Keep in mind that this has not been confirmed by CDPR yet, though, as we constantly see with Fortnite, what’s in the game files will usually find its way into the game eventually and CDPR did say that the plan for Cyberpunk 2077 was to have a multiplayer all along. Maybe they wanted to implement it sooner, but quality assurance naturally came first, so that’s why they’re now working on it, after releasing the big patch 1.3.
Whatever the case, we will patiently wait for CDPR to come out with more news about a Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer and if you want to hear about it first, you should definitely stay on EarlyGame and our gaming section.
