After 12 long years, the sequel to the acclaimed Dead Island is releasing. Dead Island 2 is confirmed to arrive on April 21, 2023 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
When April 21 does roll around, players will be able to purchase three different editions of Dead Island 2 . Those editions are the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Gold Edition. If players choose to pre-order any of these editions, they will receive a few in-game items that cannot be accessed elsewhere. Dead Island 2 Edition Comparison
First and foremost, the pricing of the Dead Island 2 editions is fairly comparable to other games in the industry. The Standard Edition costs $60 for those on PC and $70 for console players. The Deluxe Edition will run players $75 while the Gold Edition tops out at $90.

As always, it will be up to each individual player to decide if the extra content is worth a higher price tag. If you plan on playing Dead Island 2 extensively, then the Deluxe or Gold Edition will probably benefit you in the long run. However, more hesitant players can stick with the Standard Edition and not notice much of a difference.
