Dragon's Dogma 2: All Known Vocations
In Dragon's Dogma 2, vocations no longer fall into the three groups (basic, advanced, hybrid). Instead, each vocation is equal and comes with its own special skills. This opens up nearly limitless possibilities for playing the game the way you want right from the beginning.
Some classes are "exclusive to the Arisen", meaning that the player character can choose this vocation, but Pawns can't.
Fighter
As a Fighter, you'll be fighting in close combat battles with a sword and a shield, focused on physical damage. Both your sword and shield come with their own attached skills, as you protect your team against enemy waves.
Archer
Archer are the next physical class, specialized in ranged attacks and long-distance combat. With this vocation, you're specialized in crowd-control and AoE skills. As long as you stay away from your foes, you're able to shoot them down in no time.
Thief
Another physical class, equipped with dual daggers for quick strikes against your enemies. Thieves have a high damage rate and mobility to quickly change positions in order to overwhelm your enemies by your speed. The mobility can also be used to quickly escape from battles.
Mage
As a Mage, you can either attack from afar or up close, buff, support or heal your teammates. They have low physical defense, health and stamina but make up for it with high magick defense and strong support skills.
Warrior
Warriors are pure damage beasts, with the mastery of two-handed weapons such as greatswords or hammers. The charged attack of the Warrior is one of the most powerful and devastating attacks among all vocations. They can endure enemy counterattacks, but are much slower than the Fighter.
Sorcerer
Sorcerers are specialized in channeling various magick attacks. They prefer fighting against enemies from a safe distance, as the attacks take much longer to be cast. But once the attack is charged up, you can end a battle in an instance.
Magick Archer (exclusive to the Arisen)
The Magick Archer vocation excels in long-range combat thanks to magickal arrows. The vocation owns a wide variation of attacking-, healing- and supporting-skills. In addition, paying with your own HP lets you unleash a devastating attack.
Mystic Spearhand (exclusive to the Arisen)
The Mystic Spearhand vocation combines melee and magick skills, making them a very well-balanced vocation and suited for anyone who can't decide if they want to fight in close- or ranged-combat.
Trickster (exclusive to the Arisen)
Trickster can conjure illusions through the smoke created by its unique weapon, the Censer. By deceiving enemies to fight against each other, the Trickster has a very unique play style. With this vocation, you're also be able to temporarily increase the power of Pawns.
