If you haven't played any Souls games before Elden Ring, you might feel overwhelmed right from the start. The game not only presents a high level of difficulty but also offers limited guidance – many mechanics and features are barely or not at all explained.

During your first hours in Elden Ring, while exploring various areas in Limgrave, you'll likely visit the Weeping Peninsula. There, in the northeastern part of the Fourth Church of Marika, you'll find an Evergaol, as there are many across the Lands Between. However, you can't just enter it; instead, you'll get a message saying "Imp's Seal in effect". So how do you break this seal?

Fortunately, the solution to the puzzle is quite simple – you just need to look around the nearby area. You will quickly spot an Imp statue, as there are many throughout the regions of Elden Ring.

As soon as you stand close enough to it, you can interact with it. However, to break the seal, you need a Stonesword Key. These keys can be found throughout your journey in the Lands Between, or alternatively, you can buy them from wandering merchants.

And that's it – once the seal is broken, you can teleport into the underground as usual. The boss waiting for you there is the Ancient Hero of Zamor. This boss is quite manageable: A good tactic is to keep your distance until he starts his ice breath, and then quickly hit him a few times from the side. If you're still having trouble, level up your character a bit more and then try again.

As a reward, you'll get Radagon's Soreseal – one of the best talisman options in the game for starters. While wearing the talisman, you'll take about 10 percent more damage, but your Strength, Endurance, Vigor, and Dexterity are increased by 3 each. So, sacrificing the Stonesword Key is definitely worth it!
