Epic Games Purchases Mediatonic
Epic Games claims they will not change the core gameplay of Fall Guys but only focus on the game’s growth across multiple platforms like the upcoming Nintendo Switch and Xbox versions. Epic tweeted about the recent purchase of Fall Guys and its dev team Mediatonic:

Epic Games seemed hyped about acquiring the Fall Guys team and David Bailey, CEO of Mediatonic, had this to say about Epic Games:

Will Fall Guys Become Free to Play?
Epic Games built its empire on the free-to-play battle royale Fortnite and gives away free games every month on the Epic Games Store. So, in theory, it would make sense for Fall Guys to become free-to-play. Also, Fall Guys has tons of skins and seems to be perfect for the free-to-play micro-transaction model.
At the moment, Fall Guys is not on the Epic Games Store yet, but remains on Steam for 20 Euros. Perhaps it will take sometime before we see it on the Epic Games Store and then maybe free-to-play. Keep in mind this may never come to pass, as it all depends on Steam's distribution rights of Fall Guys.
If you ask us though: Fall Guys should be free! The game needs a boost! Its player base and popularity have really dropped off recently and is seldom seen in the top ranks of sites like Twitch.
