Are you a fan of the Fallout series? Are you therefore starved, because you know that Bethesda will not shower the series with a lot of love in the near future? Don’t be, because Fallout: London will keep you company in the meantime.
I know it’s a shocker, but Fallout 76 wasn’t exactly what fans of the series were hoping for. Again, shocker. Bethesda somehow thought that a game where an 11-year-old with a racist username could destroy everything you built was a good idea. Hey… that sounds a lot like Fortnite.
Anyway, you know Bethesda, or rather, its community. They care more about Bethesda games, than Bethesda cares about their own games. And so that’s why you can now play Fallout: London, a huge single-player DLC mod for Fallout 4 that will let you explore and play in apocalyptic London.
Looks amazing, right? To the point where it makes you wonder how these guys are not hired to work on the next “real” Fallout (and I’m saying “real” for a reason, screw you, Fallout 76).
This is what the creators have to say about their Fallout: London mod.
Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. Distinct from the base game, the mod will allow the player to visit the previously unexplored post-apocalyptic environment of London. In a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America. This will allow the player to explore an entirely new setting, interact with new post-war cultures and societies, and see a world distinct from the Americana of the mainline games. It also allows the player to explore pre-war European history and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class-structured society of pre-war Britain.
What Is The Fallout: London Release Date?
Unfortunately, Fallout: London does not have a release date. On the official Fallout: London website, it says "TBA". What you saw in the video above was only the reveal for the mod, and if the actual mod looks and feels half as good as it does in the video, than it might just be better than the entirety of Fallout 76.
Fallout: London will feature:
- Completely new content
- Original quests
- New factions
- New weapons
- New armor
