An insider suggests that the highly anticipated PlayStation game Forspoken will be delayed.
Forspoken looks amazing. Seriously, I'm really, really, looking forward to this game, and I'm not even mad at the fact that the game is being delayed because that's the official leak of the day: Forspoken will be delayed and Final Fantasy 16 will be released in its stead.
Forspoken Release Date Delayed
Honestly, I'm not even mad at the game being delayed because ever since Cyberpunk, I live by a simple mantra: A rushed game is a bad game, and a delayed game is better. As for the source of all this, it's Speshal_Nick, who revealed this leak on his podcast at the 1:47:00 mark of this clip.
According to him, Final Fantasy 16 will be released in Forspoken's stead, which would mean that we can expect Final Fantasy 16 to be released on October 11, 2022. It makes sense, considering that we previously wrote about Final Fantasy 16 being deep into development, and close to being finished. As of now, there is no word on when Forspoken will be released. Of course, considering that this is all an inside leak claim, take it with a pinch of salt.
This is not necessarily bad news for Forspoken, rather I'd really take it as a sign of sensible game developers, who have the quality of their product in mind before anything else. After all, Forspoken does have the look of a possible franchise, so there would be little logic in rushing its first outing.
