Gamers8 is coming back and bigger than ever this year. In 2022, the enormous event made its debut in Riyadh and was attended by more than 1.4 million visitors and watched by more than 132 million people around the globe. What Is Gamers8?
Gamers8 is a festival that combines esports tournaments with live music, with several elite esports tournaments taking place over a period of eight weeks, from July 6 to August 27.
Esports will not only be limited to professionals, as there will also be numerous community competitions with real-money prizes. Additionally, Boulevard City Riyadh, the event location, offers a variety of other attractions and experiences.
Last year's price pool of a whopping $15,000,000 was already record-breaking, but in 2023, it has tripled. The total sum of all tournament prizes is $45 million.
The event is organized sponsored by the Saudi Federation for Electronic Sports and owns partnerships with known brands like Pepsi Light, Spotify, Doritos, and LG.
The festival will host numerous tournaments in Fortnite, TEKKEN 7, FIFA, PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege, Dota 2, StarCraft II, Street Fighter 6, CS:GO, and Rocket League. You'll find the full schedule of tournaments further below.
Where To Watch Gamers8 Events?
Whether you're near Riyadh and can attend the event in person or not, there are several ways for you to be a part of it. You can visit Riyadh City Boulevard for free entry (although you may need tickets for specific events). Alternatively, it is also possible to watch the esports competitions online through their Twitch channels. Gamers8 offers a diverse range of activities within its pavilions, including concerts, competitions, and over 1,000 events held over an eight-week period. Attendees have the opportunity to explore different zones dedicated to popular games, engage in virtual reality experiences, participate in game development workshops, observe intense esports competitions, see performances by well-known artists and meet influencers as well as pro gamers.
