Gardevoir joined the Pokémon Unite Roster just a week after the game's official release on July 21. Pokémon Unite is Nintendo’s new MOBA and it's popping off as the hype continues with Gardevoir the Psychic and Fairy-type Pokémon. We answer all your burning questions about this new Pokémon.

Gardevoir is a Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon and joins the game’s roster of playable Pokémon on July 28. This makes Gardevoir the 21st playable Pokémon in the game and it is also known as the Embrace Pokémon. Gardevoir is a ranged attacker in Pokémon Unite and Nintendo posted an official gameplay teaser of it:

Gardevoir was actually playable in the June 2020 beta, so some players may already know what the Pokémon is capable of in battle.

What You Need to Know About Gardevoir

How can you get a Gardevoir License?

To get your hands on a Gardevoir you will need 8000 Aeos Coins or 460 Aeos Gems. Its license can be purchased the same way as any other license in the game, via the Unite Battle Committee store. For better or worse Pokémon Unite is riddled with microtransactions.

What are Gardevoir's Evolutions in Pokémon Unite?

Gardevoir is the final form of the Pokémon, but it first starts off a match as a Level 1 Ralts and then evolves into the 2nd form, Kirlia at level 6. It appears that the 4th evolution, Gallade, is not in Pokémon Unite for those true Poke fans wondering about its actual final evolution.

What are Gardevoir's Abilities?

Gardevoir, like all other Pokémon, has two trees of abilities to choose from and also the passive ability Synchronize.

Gardevoir's Abilities:

  • Teleport or Confusion at Lv. 1 and Lv.3
  • Psyshock or Psychic at Lv. 6
  • Future Sight or Moonblast at Lv. 6
  • Fairy Singularity at Lv. 10

Gardevoir should shake up the Pokémon Unite meta as it’s a ranged damage dealer that can also lock down opponents. In-game, Garedevoir is rated as a 4.5-star offensive Pokémon, so it should be a great choice to take down other players or wild Pokémon. It should be able to secure a lot of points from kills or defending the scoring points on the map, preventing other players from cashing in their collected points.
