The Seven Archons are some of the most powerful creatures in the Genshin Impact universe since they have reached the godhood. Each of them is ruling over one of the seven Kingdoms. While some of them are communicating their powers quite openly with their nation, others prefer to keep their true identity a secret. And maybe not everyone who claims to be one is actually an Archon?
The Seven Archons in Genshin Impact are incredibly strong gods who want to maintain the security and peace of their land and protect their nation. They all have very distinct concepts of how this should be done.
But whether it is the free spirit Venti or the rather strict Raiden Shogun, all of them care about their nation more than anything. However, the most recently announced Hydro Archon Furina seems to have other troubles to deal with …
Who really are you, Hydro Archon?
Genshin Impact: Splash Art Leaks Could Confirm A Crazy Theory About Furina
Most of Genshin Impact's Archons prefer to stay silent about their true powers and position. Take Venti and Zhongli for example: Both of them leaving their nation completely clueless about their true identity as Archons! Looking at Raiden Shogun, her people do know about her power, however many circumstances about her as an Archon stay a secret. And last but not least, Nahida: Her nations just recently found out about her true form!
So it seems like, that Archons in general prefer to not reveal themselves as gods, right?
Why Furina Is Not The Hydro Archon
Well… There is one exception to this rule, and her name is Furina. She loves a good performance and would do anything to achieve one. Naturally, she likes to brag about her status and her godly powers. And exactly this behavior makes her stick out, and she seems to not quite fit in with the other, wiser leaders!
Maybe because she is not the real Hydro Archon?
One of the most recent leaks regarding Furina, shows the splash art for her release in version 4.2! However, the community was quick to notice, that the newly leaked picture of Furina had a slight change in comparison to the 4.1 version trailer picture: Furina now has a Vision.
But why is that so odd, you may ask? — Why, this discovery will directly affect the further course of the story and Furina's status in the game is pretty easy to explain. Archons simply do not have a Vision!
“Life is like the theater — you never can tell when the twist will come.” — Furina
Archons themselves do not need a Vision, since they are made for mortal people, who can control a certain element. Archons, have that power inside of them, and it is call a Gnosis! That results in the fact, that Furina isn't an Archon after all!
The 4.2 Archon quest will probably help us out with all our questions. My prediction, however, is that Furina was indeed the Hydro Archon but got rid of her power or, even worse, someone took it from her!
And even other noticed Furina's strange behavior! During the 4.1 story quest, a certain someone was spying on the alleged Archon and came to the conclusion, that the highly protectable Gnosis can't be within this playful and almost childlike person.
Who do you think the Hydro Archon really is, and how the hell do you lose a Gnosis?! Version 4.2 will most definitely be super exciting and I, speaking for myself, can't wait to finally play Furina!
