Dark Horse is working on a God of War comic that bridges the gap between the original God of War trilogy and the 2018 reboot. The comic series is called 'Fallen God' and now we finally got a release date.
Hey... if you clicked on here, looking for a new God of War game – we're sorry. BUT: Many of us are huge comic book fans and for us this news is hype! The God of War lore lends itself to more than just gaming and now we finally got a release date for the latest God of War comic series: Fallen God.
If you want to know how the angry-murdering-beardless Kratos became the slightly-less-angry-murdering-full-beard Kratos, then you will have to read these comics!
Warning, spoilers for the old-school God of War trilogy ahead:
God of War: Fallen God follows Kratos after conquering Zeus and thwarting Athena. Believing himself to be finally free of his bondage, he sets sail for the desert in an attempt to distance himself from his home and his shame only to find his rage and guilt follow close behind. Kratos rages against the one foe that has proven to be unconquerable—himself. But a war against oneself is unwinnable, and only invites madness.
The comic series will span 4 issues and Fallen God #1 will be released on March 10, 2021.
The comic will literally pick up from the trail of blood that was left at the end of God of War III. If you love comics, you should be hyped as this one brings together writer Chris Roberson and Eisner-nominated artist Tony Parker. If you love God of War, you should be hyped, because it brings back Kratos.
Oh... and if you're still salty that this headline wasn't about the games: Expand your horizon a little bit and have a read. You might just find a new hobby that's even nerdier.
