Sony's PlayStation State of Play might give us our first glimpse at God of War Ragnarok gameplay! The event always takes place after the E3. We don't have an exact release date yet, but we might just have a lineup of what we can expect at the upcoming State of Play: God of War, Ghost of Ikishima and some PS5 exclusives.
Microsoft won the E3. That's as obvious as it is unsurprising: Sony wasn't a part of the E3 and Nintendo was too busy being weird, so Microsoft and its Bethesda x Game Pass combination didn't have much competition.
Well... turns out that Sony might've just been lying to make a serious, serious splash at the State of Play 2021. That's if the leaks are to be believed.
What Games Will Be Revealed at Sony State Of Play 2021
- Ghost of Ikishima
- God of War Ragnarök
- New PS5 First Party Exclusives
All this goodness comes our way via the very reputable and habitually correct Speshal_Nick. Don't take it from us though, take it from the source itself:
I'm being told we'll see our first gameplay of the new God of War at Sony's show too. Will be exciting to see.

We already wrote about Ghost of Ikishima here, but also, we can't even think right now over the possibility of getting God of War Ragnarok gameplay.
Sony State of Play Might Have God of War Gameplay
God of War gameplay?
Shut up and take my money!
Or... since the State of Play is free to watch, don't take it and just take my view or whatever, but I'm hyped, y'all. I. Am. Hyped. We haven't really had any news on the new God of War other than the epic reveal at another State of Play a while back. Sure, that didn't stop us from writing about it, but all we could do thus far is speculate... Honestly, we're in the dark on the new God of War, so we are as hyped about a possible first gameplay reveal as you.

Still... this ain't even it though – we will also get to see some PS5 exclusive reveals of new first-party titles that we can look forward too. After all, Sony still has to honor Jim Ryan's bold claim:
We have been quietly but steadily investing in high-quality games for PlayStation, and we will make sure that the PS5 generation will have more dedicated software than ever before.
With the current line-up of big PS5 titles currently being far removed from being the biggest ever, it seems that now's the time to finally reveal some spicy new games. What will we get? A new Uncharted? Were we all just thinking that? Yes we were. Whatever it is, we can't wait and if leaks on the Sony State of Play date are to believed, then it will air on July 8.
Hype!
