Is Gran Turismo 7 Delayed Again?

Gran Turismo 7 should be released within the coming month. Now a game event has been canceled, does this mean the game won't be released?

Gran Turismo 7 is another game that we've been longing for. We've got graphic excellence with Elden Ring, wild west life in Red Dead Redemption 3 and even an open-world Pokémon game, but one thing has been missing and that is the open road, us and our speedy Ferrari.

Gran Turismo 7 should be released on March 4, 2022. That's been revealed a long time ago, but now we're starting to have our doubts whether the game needs another pit stop before it can run its victory lap.

Last Minute Cancelation of Gran Turismo 7 Event

Let's go back a bit and take a moment to remember that Gran Turismo 7 was supposed to be released in 2021. But, like many other games throughout the last two years, it was pushed back to 2022. Okay, no problem that just happens in this crazy world right now, but there are some more bad news, there are hints that the game won't be released in March of this year either.

Our favorite game leaker Tom Henderson has already revealed what we've all been fearing. According to one of his tweets, there was an unnamed media event in the works for Gran Turismo 7. This should have taken place a month from now – as we write this article in January – but this event was pushed back.

PlayStation nor the developers Plyphony Digital have made any statements to this claim, so we're still stuck in the dark why this happened. We remember when this happened to The Last Of Us II. A media event was canceled and then the game was delayed.

But we do have to say this; it looks like the PlayStation store does indicate that Gran Turismo 7 is going to be released soon. There have been leaks in regards to the download size and pre-load. So it might not take too long until we get to go on that long-awaited drive.
