Confirmed: Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Remaster Is Coming Soon

Korea rated the GTA Trilogy Remaster, and, more than that, they revealed the game's title – Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Remaster. This confirms the game, and we have a supposed release date for you below.

Goddamn, it feels good to finally have some clarity. Thank you, Korea. Thank you, for leaking what we all knew was happening anyway: The GTA Trilogy Remaster is official. Now, we even have a name, and though it's not particularly creative 'Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Remaster' does do things to me. Truth be told, I'm much more excited about this than the GTA 5 upgrade. I have no interest in GTA 5 Enhanced & Expanded, or whatever it's called, because... that game had its moment. GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, though? Oh, daddy.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Remaster – Release Date

Unfortunately, Korea didn't accidentally leak a release date, but here's the thing: The fact that they were able to rate the game, means that they were able to play the game. If they were able to play the game, that means the game can't be all that far away. Now, this makes a lot of sense, since it was long rumored that the Trilogy Remaster was going to drop in November. Then Rockstar went ahead and delayed GTA 5, so nobody knew what's what anymore, but now Kotaku put their foot down: According to the gaming outlet, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Remaster will release in November.

To give their statement more weight, consider this as well: October 22 will be the 20th anniversary of GTA III. Rockstar is aware of that and promised us some "fun news". What's more fun than announcing the GTA remasters will drop a month later? On that note, can we also take a moment to get to grips with the fact that GTA III was released 20 years ago and GTA 5 was released 8 years ago... I mean, damn. It sure seems like Rockstar has no intention of tightening the release cycle anytime soon either, since there is legit reason to believe that GTA 6 will be a live-service game.
