GTA 5 is getting an 'Enhanced and Expanded' edition for the PS5. You know that. Everybody knows that. Now here's what we know about the release date, the game's upgrades and its price.
It's all too easy to forget that GTA 5 was released for the PS3. Yup. This game is close to 8 years old, which is why R. Kelly is reportedly an avid GTA fan.
What is the GTA 5 Release Date for PS5 and Xbox Series X?
Currently, we know that the GTA V remaster is officially set for a release date in the second half of 2021. Quick maths here folks: The game's coming sometime between June and December. That's a decent window. We can live that.
If you ask us for something more exact, then our money is on a release date some time around Christmas.
What Upgrades Will GTA 5 Have on the PS5 and Xbox Series X?
- New weapons, new vehicles, new activities
- More wildlife
- Denser traffic and denser population
- Better and new foliage
- Enhanced Weather Effects
- Enhanced damage models and effects.

Will GTA 5 Look Better on PS5 & Xbox Series X and run at 60 FPS?
Yes. Duh. GTA 5 will look better on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X. The game also already runs at 60fps on PC and GTA V will run at 60fps on the next-gen systems as well. Actually... how long are we still gonna keep calling PS5 & Xbox Series X the next-gen... aren't they just... current... gen?

Will GTA 5 Get a Free PS5 & Xbox Series X Upgrade?
According to a retailer, GTA V is one of the games that will get a free next-gen upgrade. We 100% expect that as well. Too many games have already set the tone with free next-gen upgrades. We know Rockstar likes that green, but we don't see them being this greedy.
Why should they be when they're raking in billions with the kids splurging on GTA Online... oh, and R. Kelly.
