GTA Online gets a big new update today, December 15, Cayo Perico. Included are a new heist, new items and a huge selection of new music! See what we know about the five new radio stations here!
As everyone knows, music plays a huge role in the GTA games and of course even more so in GTA 5 and GTA Online, which are constantly being expanded despite their now SEVEN YEARS on the hump. And also with new music!
This is now also happening with the big Cayo Perico update. This new expansion revolves centrally around a party island and underground club The Music Locker, so it only makes sense that we get new music. Rockstar have now revealed what we can expect in this and it's quite a lot of new music!
With the Cayo Perico update comes three completely new radio stations:
- Music Locker Radio: Related to the aforementioned club of the same name and will feature a mix of house, disco, and techno.
- K.U.L.T. 99.1 FM: will focus mainly on Manchester rock (and similar rock) and will be hosted by Julian Casablancas of The Strokes!
- Still Slipping Los Santos: Mix of house, techno, drill, and drum and bass. Hosted by UK DJ Joy Orbison, who will probably offer missions for you!
In addition, there are two old familiar radio stations that will be completely revamped and will offer a completely new selection of music:
- FlyLo FM: Electronica wizard Flying Lotus now offers a completely new mix on his colorful spaced-out station, with new songs from himself, Madlib, and MF DOOM, as well as "rare, exclusive and amazing surprises."
- Worldwide FM: Gilles Peterson returns with a brand new mix of New London jazz, disco, and world music, featuring songs from Kamasi Washington, BADBADNOTGOOD, and MF DOOM plus many many more!
A total of 250 new songs are to be added to the insatiable Rockstar giant! Now you can't complain about a lack of expansions and additions to the content!
