Horizon Zero Forbidden West and Horizon Zero Dawn devs Guerilla Games are already working on a new game and we got what little there is to know right here.
So, Simon Larouche is the game director over at Guerilla Games and on his LinkedIn, his career profile states that he is working on an unannounced title.
Does it surprise anyone that a game director is working on a new game? No. Is it exciting that it's the Horizon Forbidden West director, while Forbidden West isn't even released yet? Yes. Yes, that's exciting, especially considering that the game has been in development since 2018, and he tags it with "secret game is secret!".
What's this New Guerilla Games Game About?
We have no idea. Is it a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West? Could be. But it's odd that it's been in development for 3 years already. That makes it very unlikely that it's a Horizon Forbidden West sequel. Maybe then it's a DLC à la Lost Legacy or Spiderman Miles Morales? That sounds a lot more probable. In fact, even Ghost of Tsushima seems to be getting one of said expansive DLCs, which must've been in development for a while, considering that Ghost of Tsushima was only released last year, and they even released a multiplayer portion since. Guerilla Games might just be following that very formula:
What the game is, is guesswork at this point, but in any case, more from Guerilla Games is coming soon, which is always good. Unless Horizon Forbidden West flops when it releases later this year. But... no AAA game with such expectations could ever flop, right? Right, Cyberpunk?
Right?
