Season 6 of the Halo: MCC – called Raven – just kicked off today and in addition to a new Battle Pass players got some pleasant surprises. Let's take a look at what's new.
Halo Season 6: Waterfall Map
The Waterfall map was originally an unreleased piece of content that was planned for Halo Online which was canceled. The map in question is now available in Halo 3. You can play Waterfall in custom games!
Halo Season 6: New Escalation Slayer Mode
The new season in Halo: MCC also introduces a brand-new game mode with Escalation Slayer. In it, you'll be able to prove your skill and versatility. After each kill, you'll be granted a different new weapon to shine with, in addition, you can downgrade enemies by assassinating them or sticking them with a Plasma Grenade. Escalation Slayer can be played in Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4. Play the new mode right away in custom games or wait for it to pop up in the weekly playlists.
Halo Season 6: Battle Pass and Challenges
Naturally, a new season means a new Battle Pass. Check out the video above for all the details. In addition, 343 have also added new seasonal challenges. For completing each of them you'll be rewarded with a piece of equipment.

The challenges are already live and waiting to be completed!
Halo Season 6: The Exchange
Last but not least, there's The Exchange. You might ask, "What's the Exchange?". Simply put, The Exchange is an in-game shop that you can access through the main menu. In it, you can buy different items with seasonal points. You can gain the latter by increasing your seasonal level and by doing challenges. The items are split into two categories:
- Featured Items, containing new themed content
- Time-limited Items from previous seasons
We want the Exchange to be something players are excited to revisit each week. It adds another choice for where players can spend their hard-earned seasonal points. Players shouldn’t expect to unlock everything the first time it rotates into the Exchange AND blow through the season’s track right away. However, there will be a few additional points on offer each week to accommodate the new place to spend them.
